Mary and her children

“I am the court appointed legal guardian of Mary and her two boys. Mary was diagnosed with HSV encephalitis… spent 8 weeks at Abbott NW Hospital. She has acquired a brain injury which as affected her cognitive and short term memory. She goes to OT, PT, and speech therapy. Having this membership ensures her ability to gain strength and increase cardiac function, which will help her brain reconnect. Her future is uncertain but her and her boys ability to come here together will be a tremendous asset to her recovery. Thanks so much for… providing access for our family.”

”Having a reduced fitness membership is a huge privilege and a relief for me, as I am recently retired and on a fixed income. Since I’m a few years away from Medicare and Social Security, I’m living month to month on my savings. Being able to maintain my physical and social outlets is very important to me as I age and I want to do all I can to stay fit as I age.”

“Having a reduced price monthly gym membership allows me to have access to physical training and strength training in my life again. It is an integral part of feeling good and having self worth! I currently am not able to afford a regular priced gym membership and this gets me back in the saddle once again… So very greatful that here at the Centre they are allowing me access to beginning to feel good about myself once again. Exercise is very crucial for me in my struggle with seasonal depression.”

Sophia and Micah

“I am writing this letter to express my most sincere appreciation to the Centre for providing financial assistance for daycare at the most trying time in life. I am a mother of three amazing and beautiful children… due to substance use and domestic violence… I left the relationship. With child care rates being reduced, I can maintain my full time job. I cannot thank you enough for this assistance. It has offered me a feeling of safety and security.”
