Lead Lifeguard
Job Title: Lead Lifeguard
Status: Full Time, Hourly
Hours: 40 hours/week
Wage Range: Negotiable based on experience and education
Position Summary: As a certified lifeguard, the Lead Lifeguard’s primary responsibility is to maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area. The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for swimmer safety, preventing accidents, assisting swimmers, and responding to emergencies. They will implement safe and high quality programs for Centre Members and guests.
This position will include lifeguarding, specialty aquatic programs, CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard training, and swimming lessons.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18.
- Current lifeguard certification.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard.
- Effective verbal communication skill to team members and participants.
Duties Include:
- Monitor activities in and near the water.
- Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations and behaviors.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations and educating members about them.
- Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies.
- Administer First Aid, CPR and AED in an emergency if necessary.
- Teach amazing level swim lessons to Centre members and guests.
- Follow aquatics processes and procedures
- Facilitate pool rentals and birthday parties.
- Deal with member and participant concerns in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain program areas and equipment in a clean, safe, functional manner to meet all relevant standards. Contact supervisor with facility concerns immediately.
- Work as part of a team with other guards and staff.
- Increase membership participation by providing high quality programs to members.
- Maintain all required certifications and attend recommended training programs.
Aquatics Program Coordinator

Senior Program Coordinator
Job Title: Senior Program Coordinator
Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: 10-20 hours/week

Position Summary: Provide leadership and supervision to senior citizen programs and activities in accordance with Centre policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for running non-aquatics senior activities that can include, but are not limited to, social events, fitness related programs, special events and sports programs.
- Maintain a high quality program area through upkeep of equipment, room appearance and work with other Centre staff.
- Ensure safety, quality, and consistency of the programs within the Centre.
- Promote commitment to the goals and philosophy of the Centre by remaining current and cutting edge with programming and equipment.
Kids Kove Staff
Job Title: Kids Kove Staff
Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: 12 – 15 hours/week, Monday – Friday between 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Wage Range: Negotiable based on experience and education
Position Summary: Kids Kove staff work in the Centre’s drop-in child care center and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. They maintain a high quality environment through interaction and engagement of children in age-appropriate activities.
Required Qualifications:

- Certifications: CPR, AED, and First Aid (Certifications can be obtained at the Centre)
Duties Include:
- Lead children in safe and age-appropriate activities
- Maintain knowledge of Kids Kove procedures to effectively communicate with parents
- Ensure the safety of all Kids Kove participants through following Kids Kove procedures
- Implement behavior management techniques with Kids Kove participants
- Maintain a healthy and clean environment by following the Kids Kove cleaning procedures
- Infant care which may include feeding, soothing, engaging, and occasional diapering of infants
- Communication with co-workers to ensure the safety and well being of all Kids Kove participants

Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitoring activities in and near the water.
- Preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations and behaviors.
- Enforcing facility rules and regulations and educating members about them.
- Recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to all emergencies.
- Administering First Aid, CPR and AED in an emergency if necessary.
- Working as part of a team with other guards and staff.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Testing chemicals.
- Assisting members which include conducting safety orientations, performing swim tests, and fitting lifejackets.

Group Fitness Instructor: Water and Studio
Job Title: Group Fitness Instructor: Water and Studio
Status: Part Time Non-Exempt
Hours: Minimum of 2 classes per week

Position Summary: We are looking for individuals interested in instructing group exercise classes, both in the water and on land in a studio. We’re looking for individuals who have experience and a passion for working with individuals to provide teaching and instruction to maximize workouts. The instructor is responsible for conducting safe, effective and enjoyable exercise classes by providing excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction and high energy motivation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older and have a fitness/group exercise background.
- Knowledge of, and ability to, communicate exercise physiology principles as related to a well-rounded fitness program.
- Physically fit to lead class at the appropriate level.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience and a passion for working with children. This person will be assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing age appropriate activities while supervising the entire class. Applicants also should have some prior experience working with children, possess a positive and flexible attitude, be able to multi-task, and be a creative and optimistic problem solver.

Job Title: Personal Trainer

Hours: All hours available weekdays and weekends
Wage Range: Negotiable based on experience and education
Position Summary: A Personal Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, supervising, administering, and evaluating a personal training program designed for Centre Members. The incumbent will meet with members, schedule future meetings, and supervise the member’s progress. The individual will implement activities designed to meet the specified objectives and goals of the Centre.

- Education and/or equivalent experience relating to fitness, exercise physiology, or health and wellness
