American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid

Participants will learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults and how to prevent, recognize, and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children. Participants will learn how to use AEDs (automatic external defibrillators) and learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.

Boy Scout Swim Classification Testing

In preparation for attending Boy Scout Summer Camps, the Centre is offering swim testing according to Boy Scout guidelines.  Boy Scouts will need to register for a Swim Classification Event instead of individual troop testing.  Please coordinate your scout’s registration date with your Unit Leader.  The tests will be administered by a certified lifeguard educated in the guidelines of BSA Classification procedures and documentation will be provided per BSA guidelines.
