Submit your calories

Starting August 19, we need everyone to track their calories and submit them to us!  You can fill out a form while you are at the Centre, email Kayla Betram at kbertram@nracentre.com, or submit your calories below.  Every calorie counts!

Each day we will report the total calories burned on the Million Calorie Burn Facebook page so we can watch our progress towards 1 million.  We will finish the challenge on Saturday, August 25 at Corn Fest.

You can use our list of activities to help determine calories burned.

 

One Week. One Goal. One Community.

Imagine our community coming together for one week and burning a total of 1 million calories.  It’s our goal to make that happen the week of August 19-25!

Together Edward Jones, The Centre, Westfields Hospital & Clinic, and the New Richmond Pathways Committee are challenging our community to come together for one week to hit one aggressive goal!  Let’s make it happen.  

Who can participate?

Participation is open to anyone who lives, works, or plays in New Richmond and you can participate individually, get your family together, encourage a local business, or get your local high school sports team involved. 

How do I get started?

All you have to do is fill out a registration form or register online it’s no cost to participate, and report your calories burned each day.

What types of activities count?

Take a walk through one of the wonderful parks or trails in town.  Swim laps.  Ride your bike.  Whatever your choice of activity, just do it and record it.  You can use our list of activities to help determine calories burned.

Why should I participate?

Edward Jones, The Centre, and Westfields Hospital & Clinic have pledged to support the New Richmond Area Community Foundation’s Recreational Trail Fund with a donation of $6,000 should we hit 1 Million Calories burned!

To help our community work towards this aggressive goal anyone who registers for the Million Calorie Burn will also get the entire week of August 19-25 FREE at the Centre to help assist in ways to burn those calories.
