Job Title:  Kids Kove Coordinator

Hours: 15-25 hours/week
Wage Range: $9.00 - $12.00 depending on experience

Position Summary

This NEW position will be responsible for leading the Centre's Kids Kove staff in providing the best and safest drop in child care place to be for children ages 6 weeks – 10 years.  Focus will be on safety as well as engagement of children in age-appropriate activities.  Responsibilities will include working closely with the part time Kids Kove staff to assure every Centre member experience is a great one.  This position will supervise, train, and schedule Kids Kove staff, work hands-on in Kids Kove, develop programming, and implement initiatives for the department.  Kids Kove hours are listed below.  The coordinator will be required to work a variety of shifts to train staff, monitor programs, and provide leadership.

Monday - Saturday        8:00 AM - 12:00 PM        8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Mon, Wed, & Thurs        4:15 PM - 8:15 PM          4:15 PM - 8:15 PM
Tuesday & Friday           4:15 PM - 7:45 PM          4:15 PM - 7:45 PM
Sunday                         10:30 AM - 1:00 PM        Closed

Duties Include:

  • Lead children in fun, safe, and age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain knowledge of Kids Kove policies and procedures to communicate with parents
  • Ensure the safety of all Kids Kove participants
  • Implement behavior management techniques with Kids Kove participants
  • Maintain a healthy and clean environment
  • Feeding and soothing infants
  • Communicating with co-workers to ensure the safety and well being of all Kids Kove participants
  • Making sure shifts are filled either by part time staff or as

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Some Child Care Education preferred
  • CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid (certifications can be obtained at the Centre after employment has started) 
  • One year or more experience working with children
  • Previous supervision experience preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to work with a wide array of staff members
